From November 17 to 18, 2023, the "6th China Virtual Reality Competition (CCVR 2023) National Competition" hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China Virtual Reality Competition and the Steering Committee of the China Virtual Reality Competition, and hosted by VR China and the Metaverse Industry Think Tank of the China Computer Federation, was held at the CCF Business Headquarters in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. After on-site defense and expert review, five students of the college's "VR+ Spirit of the First to Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China" project team, five undergraduate students majoring in virtual reality technology, Lin Zhenkun, Nie Haixiao, Han Yiling, Deng Peng and Lu Jingyi, won the first prize in the national competition with their work "Touching the Scene: Immersive Chinese Painting Appreciation".
The China Virtual Reality Competition aims to enhance the cultivation of virtual reality technology talents in colleges and universities, share virtual reality applications and innovations, and promote the construction and development of related disciplines in colleges and universities. A total of more than 2,000 works from more than 100 universities across the country, such as Beijing Normal University, Jilin University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Shandong University, advanced to the finals of the national competition.
By participating in the CCVR 2023 National Competition, the students' professional ability, practical ability and innovation ability have been exercised, the exchanges between the college and outstanding universities in virtual reality technology have been strengthened, and the training of virtual reality technology professionals has been promoted.
