By Li Junhui (text) and Guo Quanjiang (photography)   On 6 January, the Faculty of Software Engineering conducted a study session on the Degree Law of the People's Republic of China. Dean Xue Jinchun and Vice Dean Liu Qiuming attended the meeting, alongside all postgraduate supervisors.

During the session, Liu Qiuming led a clause-by-clause study of the key provisions of the Degree Law of the People's Republic of China. He provided detailed interpretations of crucial aspects including degree conferral standards, procedures, and quality requirements, reminding attendees to adhere strictly to regulations and clarify responsibilities in degree conferral work. Xue Jinchun emphasised that the Degree Law holds significant guiding importance for the school's postgraduate training and degree conferral processes. He stressed the need to thoroughly grasp its essence and strictly adhere to legal and regulatory requirements in all aspects of degree conferral. This study session has laid a solid foundation for further enhancing the quality of postgraduate education and standardising degree conferral procedures within the school.
