At 4:00 p.m. on October 18, College held an exchange meeting focus on ‘software engineering construction from the perspective of engineering and “Double First-Class” university project’ in Conference Room 302 first teaching building. Professor Chen Zhigang, Secretary of the Party committee of computer science school, Central South University, and Zeng Chunshui, Dean of the  software engineering school presided. Leaders of the school, director of the department and Research team, Dean of the virtual reality research institute and some students participated in this meeting.

Professor Chen Zhigang started the meeting with vivid and humorous language from three aspects. First, it is the necessary relevant the quality from provincial Double First-Class to nationalDouble First-Class university project. For example, the quality of education and teaching, the resources of undergraduate education, the teaching staff, the construction of disciplines, etc; secondly, we should eliminate the bird course. Excellent courses have top-level teachers, contents, teaching methods, teaching materials and management, which is a goal worth to upgrade our provincial-level excellent courses to national excellent courses; third, virtual simulation direction. Chen Zhigang is optimistic about the development of our school's software engineering school in this aspect, and thinks that we can shift to the direction of virtual simulation and get professional certification. He also mentioned that “do not squeeze into one doorway" and work in one new direction, even if you can't achieve the expectation, but still can get the harvest.
