On May 15th, the "Youth Hearts Align with the Party, Strive to Make Achievements in the New Era" May 4th Commendation Conference of the School of Software Engineering was grandly held in the Lecture Hall of the No. 1 Teaching Building. Teachers and students of the school gathered together to witness the honorary moment and draw strength for forging ahead.
The conference kicked off with the passionate League Song of the Communist Youth League of China. The loud and clear singing expressed the youth's boundless love and loyalty to the Communist Youth League.
Subsequently, the Literature and Art Department presented the recitation of QinyuanchunSnow. With sonorous and powerful voices and full emotions, the students demonstrated the majestic momentum in the poem and the praise for the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland, which also ignited the passion in the hearts of every audience present.
Lan Xinhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Software Engineering (acting as Secretary), quoted "Youth is like the early spring, like the rising sun, like the sprouting of hundreds of flowers, like a sharp blade just sharpened on the whetstone—it is the most precious period in life" in his speech, and expressed earnest expectations for all young students. He emphasized that youth is the most precious, energetic and creative stage in life, encouraging students to seize the time of youth, make positive progress, and realize the value of life through hard work.
Teacher Fang Yating, Director of the Student Affairs Office, read out the list of award winners. This list embodies the efforts and dedication of many students and groups over the past year.
Lan Xinhua (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, acting as Secretary), Fang Yating (Director of the Student Affairs Office), and counselors Fang Yu, Wu Shaojie, Yu Ran presented certificates to the award-winning individuals and groups respectively. Each bright red certificate is not only a symbol of honor, but also a high recognition of their hard work.
He Hui, a representative of the May 4th Youth Medal winners of the school (from Class 222 of Engineering Management), and Zhong Xinyi, a representative of the "Vibrant Youth League Branch" winning class (League Secretary of Class 232 of Internet of Things), took turns to deliver speeches on stage. They shared their growth experiences and insights in study and practice, inspiring every student present.
Yang Wende, President of the Student Union, led all students to reaffirm the Youth League membership oath. The solemn oath echoed throughout the venue, demonstrating the students' determination to strive and live up to their youth.
Finally, Lan Xinhua (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, acting as Secretary) made a concluding speech. He once again extended warm congratulations to the award-winning individuals and groups, hoping that they would cherish the honor, make persistent efforts, and play a good exemplary and leading role. At the same time, he encouraged students who did not win awards to take excellent models as goals, find the right direction, work hard, continuously improve themselves in future study and life, and shine their own youth glory.
The successful holding of this May 4th Commendation Conference fully demonstrated the positive spirit of the students of the School of Software Engineering.
