On December 3rd, the School of Software Engineering held the "AI+Curriculum and Project based Teaching Project Launch Meeting" with the theme of "AI Empowering Classroom Transformation Practice and Project Driven Talent Cultivation" in Conference Room 1302. Dean Xue Jinchun attended and mobilized, with some frontline teachers in attendance. The kickoff meeting will be chaired by Vice President Liu Shumin.
The college has jointly established 12 AI+courses and 8 project-based teaching programs. To ensure the smooth implementation of the project, the college will provide financial support for each project. The AI+courses and project-based teaching projects funded this time cover 18 courses. At the kickoff meeting, Liu Shumin encouraged teachers to use AI technology for teaching innovation, such as developing AI teaching assistants, AI question systems, AI intelligent writing tools, etc., to improve teaching efficiency and learning effectiveness. We also shared some experience in using AI tools and proposed the requirement to complete the project by June next year.
Xue Jinchun emphasized that the rapid development of AI technology has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to education and teaching. We hope that through this funding action, the college can make greater breakthroughs and achievements in AI+courses and project-based teaching, and accumulate strength for cultivating high-quality courses at the school, provincial, and national levels.
