By Ouyang Wenqing (Text) & Luo Wenfeng (Photos)January 4, 2025 A student representative forum was held in Conference Room 302 of the First Teaching Building on the morning of January 4, organized by the School of Software Engineering. The meeting was attended by Lan Xinhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (Presiding), Fang Yating, Director of the Student Affairs Office and Secretary of the Youth League Committee, as well as student representatives .

During the forum, student representatives voiced their opinions and requests concerning academic and campus life, dormitory management, logistical services, and campus dining . In response to some of the issues raised, Lan Xinhua provided on-the-spot explanations and proposed improvement measures .Lan Xinhua emphasized that the school will carefully review the suggestions put forward during the meeting and make every effort to address the students' concerns, thereby enhancing the human-centered approach in student-related work .He also encouraged students to proactively communicate with the school through various channels—such as class equity representatives, academic advisors, and counselors—when encountering difficulties in their daily academic or campus lives .The forum highlighted the school leadership’s care and support for students' well-being and learning experiences. By actively listening to student feedback and adopting a student-centered perspective, the school aims to turn constructive ideas into tangible actions, ensuring that beneficial policies are implemented effectively and practical matters are resolved satisfactorily .
