All on-campus students of the School of Software Engineering actively participated, with multiple teams competing on the same stage to convey youthful positive energy through sign language art.
With the core theme of "Burning Youth · Dancing to Paint a Brilliant Chapter", the competition focused on the healthy and positive psychological characteristics of contemporary college students, encouraging the innovation of artistic forms and the integration of professional characteristics. According to the activity requirements, each class of freshmen formed a participating team of 10-15 people, while students from other grades registered voluntarily. Each team meticulously polished the details of their programs, demonstrating a high level of teamwork and creative ingenuity in terms of costume matching, formation design, and music selection.
The competition scene was filled with a warm atmosphere. Under the focused lights, each participating team took the stage in neat costumes with orderly steps, strictly following the requirements of "quick and smooth entry and neat and orderly exit", and showing a good mental outlook. In the performance session, sign language dance, centered on hand movements, is different from traditional dance. Each team's movements were standardized and accurately followed the music rhythm.
The jury made a comprehensive assessment from aspects such as movement coherence, emotional expression, and creative choreography to ensure fairness and impartiality. After fierce competition, "You Never Left" presented by the "Deep Blue Team" from Intelligent Construction Class 254 won the first prize; "Left Hand and Right Hand" presented by the "Software Wings Team" from Virtual Class 251 won the second prize; "Left Hand and Right Hand" presented by the "Time Collectors Team" from Software Class 251, "Invisible Wings" presented by the "Hakimi North-South Green Team" from Software Class 252, "My Motherland and Me" presented by the "Dream Chasing and Sailing Team" from Intelligent Construction Class 252, and "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" presented by the "Morning Sun Team" from Virtual Class 252 won the third prize.
At the award ceremony, the judges awarded certificates of honor to the winning teams, encouraging all students to take this competition as an opportunity to continuously embrace life with a positive attitude.
The successful holding of this sign language dance competition not only provided an artistic platform for students to show themselves but also conveyed warmth and strength through silent dance, effectively improving students' mental health literacy and enriching the connotation of campus culture. The person in charge of the Psychological Department of our school stated that in the future, we will continue to carry out more diverse campus activities focusing on students' mental health needs, helping students shine more brightly on the youth track.
