At the beginning of the activity, Liu Zuwen, Secretary of the University Party Committee, emphasized that conducting basic Party member training is an important measure to improve the effectiveness of theoretical armament for Party members among teachers and students. He put forward three opinions on doing a good job in basic Party member training. First, it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on Party member education, consolidate the achievements of the first centralized session, and further enhance political, ideological and operational awareness. Second, it is necessary to accurately grasp the connotative requirements of basic Party member training, carefully organize thematic video learning and exchange seminars to ensure learning effectiveness. Third, it is necessary to effectively transform learning achievements into a strong driving force for promoting work, closely integrate them with studying, propagating and implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and planning the university's 15th Five-Year Development Plan, guide teacher Party members to shoulder the mission of "cultivating talents for the Party and the country", encourage student Party members to strive to be new people of the times, and promote the high-quality development of the university's cause with solid work and responsibility, contributing Jiangxi University of Science and Technology's strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The second part of the activity was the centralized viewing of the video tutorial report "The Communist Party of China and the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation" by Professor Xie Chuntao, Vice President (Vice Dean) in charge of daily work of the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (National School of Administration). The report reviewed the more than 100-year struggle history from four historical stages of the Party's history (the New Democratic Revolution period, the Socialist Revolution and Construction period, the New Period of Reform and Opening-up and Socialist Modernization, and the New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics). Centering on the core theme of the Communist Party of China and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Xie Chuntao gave an in-depth and wonderful explanation. At the same time, closely combining with the general trend of world development and the governance practices of different countries, he made a comparative analysis between China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and other countries in the world through detailed data and vivid cases, vividly revealing that adhering to the Party's leadership and unswervingly taking the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics is not only an inevitable trend of historical development, but also the fundamental guarantee and unique prominent advantage for realizing national prosperity, national rejuvenation and people's happiness.
During the training, Party members among teachers and students of our school listened attentively, recorded important contents from time to time, and the on-site learning atmosphere was warm and intense.
