These initiatives aim to strengthen ideological and political education among new students, guide them in cultivating proper motivations for Party membership, and encourage their active engagement with Party organisations.
Dean Xue Jinchun delivered the "First University Party Lecture" to students under the theme "The Struggle and Great Achievements of the Communist Party of China". Beginning with the Party's successive national congresses, he systematically outlined the development of Party building across different historical phases, profoundly elucidating the invaluable spiritual legacy and formidable truth-based strength forged through the Party's arduous yet glorious journey. He encouraged students not only to understand history but also to draw wisdom and motivation from it. Guided by the Party's glorious traditions and fine conduct, they should strengthen their ideals and convictions, cultivate deep patriotic sentiments, and integrate the study of Party history with planning their university careers and defining their life paths. Consciously aligning personal growth with the broader national development, they should strive to become new-era individuals capable of shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation. He emphasised that university years constitute a pivotal period for shaping worldviews, outlooks on life, and values. He expressed hope that through this "first lesson," freshers would fortify their foundations of faith, replenish their spiritual reserves, take their first confident strides in university life, and embark upon a new journey of endeavour.

Lan Xinhua, Deputy Party Secretary (acting) of the College, delivered a lecture titled "The Historical Logic and Contemporary Implications of the CPC's Centennial Struggle." He guided freshmen through a review of the Party's great achievements and historical lessons across four eras: the New Democratic Revolution period, the Socialist Revolution and Construction period, the Reform, Opening-up and Socialist Modernisation period, and the New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Drawing on new developments in the international landscape, national conditions, and Party affairs, he provided an accessible analysis of the historical patterns and contemporary significance embedded within the Party's century-long history. He emphasised that university students in the new era must profoundly recognise the historical mission they bear. They should continuously enhance their political judgement, political comprehension, and political execution. In their daily studies and lives, they must proactively strengthen their political theory learning and ideological tempering, learning to analyse issues from the standpoint, perspective, and methodology of Marxism, and integrating their personal ideals and pursuits into the great cause of national rejuvenation. He expressed his hope that new students would fasten the "first button" of their lives correctly from the outset, set lofty aspirations, hone formidable skills, and strive through concrete actions to become advanced members under the Party flag at the earliest opportunity, thereby contributing their youthful vigour to the realisation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Fang Yu, Secretary of the First Undergraduate Party Branch, delivered a lecture titled "Systematically Grasping the Strategic Essentials of Risk Prevention and Resolution." Centring on the application of the "Bayes Theorem" in risk assessment, the avoidance of "centralism" in decision-making risks, and the "red line" principle in risk prevention and control—all contextualised within the development framework of the 15th Five-Year Plan period—she provided a clear analysis of how to resolve risks at their inception. Furthermore, she focused on "Advancing the Modernisation of the National Security System and Capabilities to Build a Higher Level of a Safe China." Through vivid case studies on public health security and protectionism, she dissected the severity and complexity of the national security landscape in the new era, guiding students to embrace the holistic national security outlook. During the lecture, Fang Yu encouraged student representatives to take the podium and share their insights, deepening everyone's understanding and angreeing with the Communist Party of China through interactive engagement.

Wu Shaojie, Secretary of the Second Undergraduate Party Branch, delivered a specialised Party lecture titled "Fortifying the Ideological Security Defences of Young University Students." He emphasised that ideological security constitutes an extremely vital undertaking for the Party, bearing direct relevance to national political security, cultural security, and ethnic cohesion. The ideals, convictions, and value orientations of young university students directly impact the continuity of the Party and state's endeavours. Currently, amidst complex and diverse online information and the undercurrent of erroneous ideologies, some freshers may experience cognitive confusion or wavering stances when confronted with diverse ideological influences. To address this, he outlined core pathways for young students to fortify their ideological security: firstly, strengthening theoretical grounding by deeply studying the latest theoretical achievements of Marxism adapted to China's contemporary context, particularly Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thereby solidifying ideological foundations; secondly, upholding political stance by consciously supporting the Party's leadership, enhancing the "Four Consciousnesses", strengthening the "Four Confidences", upholding the "Two Upholds", and endorsing the "Two Establishments"; Thirdly, discerning right from wrong by enhancing information literacy and resolutely resisting erroneous behaviours such as spreading misinformation.

To better guide freshers in understanding the Party's glorious history and cultivating patriotic sentiments, the College Party Committee also organised a collective viewing of the revolutionary film The Founding of a Party.

This fundamental Party knowledge education initiative represents a key measure by the College to fulfil its fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, fully leveraging the primary role of Party lectures in guiding new students' ideological and political development.
