Dean Xue Jinchun and Deputy Party Secretary (acting) Lan Xinhua attended the meeting, along with Fang Yating (Director of Student Affairs Office and Secretary of the Youth League Committee), employment counselor You Shan, and counselors and homeroom teachers for the graduating class of 2026.
At the meeting, You Shan reported on the employment status of the Class of 2025 graduates and provided an interpretation of the employment work guidelines for the Class of 2026. She highlighted five key areas: channels for obtaining employment information, criteria for defining and verifying graduate destinations, procedures for online and offline contract signing and termination, and precautions for employment monitoring and document verification. She also analyzed current challenges in employment work and offered targeted recommendations for improvement.
Lan Xinhua outlined four requirements for advancing the Class of 2026's employment efforts: First, meticulously verify graduate employment status and contract signings to ensure data accuracy. Second, comprehensively understand graduates' employment preferences to establish personalized career services. Third, actively encourage postgraduate studies while objectively analyzing the pros and cons of civil service and public institution exams, guiding students to align with national policies, engage in internships and practical training, and enhance employability. Fourth, improve student growth records to provide a basis for employment recommendations. He noted that the college will also organize postgraduate entrance exam seminars by renowned professors, student employment and postgraduate mobilization meetings, resume design competitions, and written exam/interview training to continuously advance employment efforts.
In his concluding remarks, Xue Jinchun emphasized that employment work is the “lifeline” of the college's development. Attending faculty must attach great importance to it, advance it in a solid manner, and genuinely enhance their sense of responsibility and mission. Clear employment objectives must be established to ensure the baseline employment rate is met and overall employment stability is maintained. Implementation must be rigorously pursued by developing employment plans tailored to each major's characteristics, adhering to the principles of “diligence, responsibility, and timeliness” to guide students in establishing correct perspectives on employment and career selection.
This kickoff meeting charted the course, clarified strategies, and built consensus for the employment work of the college's Class of 2026 graduates. Attendees pledged to thoroughly implement the meeting's directives, advance all tasks with a highly responsible attitude, and support the Class of 2026 in achieving high-quality employment.
