Xue Jinchun, Dean of the School, delivered the "First Party Class at University" to the students with the theme of "The Struggle Course and Great Achievements of the Communist Party of China". Starting from the previous National Congresses of the Party, he systematically explained the Party's construction in different historical stages, and profoundly elaborated on the precious spiritual wealth and powerful truth force nurtured and formed by the Party in its hardships and glories. He encouraged the students not only to understand history but also to draw wisdom and motivation from it, take the Party's glorious traditions and fine styles as guidance, strengthen their ideals and beliefs, cultivate patriotic feelings, closely combine the study of Party history with the planning of university careers and the clarification of life directions, consciously integrate personal growth into the overall national development, and strive to become new-era young people who can shoulder the responsibility of national rejuvenation. He emphasized that the university stage is a critical period for the formation of students' world outlook, outlook on life, and values, and hoped that through this "first lesson", freshmen can lay a solid foundation for their beliefs, replenish their spiritual strength, take the first step in university well, and embark on a new journey of struggle.

Lan Xinhua, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee (in charge of work), gave a lecture around the theme of "The Historical Logic and Era Enlightenment of the Communist Party of China's Century-Long Struggle", leading the freshmen to review the great achievements and historical experience of the Party in the new democratic revolution period, the socialist revolution and construction period, the new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Combining the new changes in the current international situation, national conditions, and Party conditions, he analyzed the historical laws and era values contained in the century-long Party history in a simple and understandable way. He emphasized that contemporary college students must deeply recognize the historical mission they shoulder, continuously enhance their political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution, take the initiative to strengthen political theory learning and ideological tempering in daily study and life, learn to analyze problems from the standpoint, viewpoint, and method of Marxism, and integrate personal ideals and pursuits into the cause of national rejuvenation. Fang Yu, Secretary of the First Party Branch of Undergraduates, gave a special lecture titled "Systematically Grasping the Strategic Key Points of Preventing and Resolving Risks". Centering on the application of "Bayes' Theorem" in risk assessment, the avoidance of "centralism" in decision-making risks, the "no red line crossing" principle in risk prevention and control, and combined with the development context of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, she clearly analyzed how to resolve risks in the bud. In addition, focusing on "promoting the modernization of the national security system and capabilities and building a higher-level safe China", she analyzed the severity and complexity of the national security situation in the new era through vivid cases such as public health security and protectionism, guiding students to establish an overall national security concept. During the lecture, Fang Yu encouraged student representatives to take the stage to share their insights, deepening everyone's understanding and recognition of the Communist Party of China through interactive forms.

Wu Shaojie, Secretary of the Second Party Branch of Undergraduates, delivered a special Party class with the theme of "Building a Solid Ideological Security Line for Young College Students". He pointed out that ideological security is an extremely important work of the Party, which is related to national political security, cultural security, and national cohesion. The ideals, beliefs, and value orientations of young college students are directly related to the inheritance of the Party and the country's cause. At present, online information is complex and diverse, and wrong ideological trends are surging. Faced with the impact of various ideas, some freshmen are prone to cognitive confusion and wavering positions. To this end, he focused on explaining the core paths for young students to build a solid ideological security line: first, strengthen theoretical armament, thoroughly study the latest achievements of Marxism sinicization and eraization, especially Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and consolidate the ideological foundation; second, firm up political stance, consciously uphold the Party's leadership, enhance the "Four Consciousnesses", strengthen the "Four Matters of Confidence", achieve the "Two Maintenance", and uphold the "Two Establishments"; third, distinguish right from wrong, improve the ability to identify information, and resolutely resist wrong behaviors such as spreading false information.

To better guide freshmen to understand the glorious history of the Party and cultivate patriotic feelings, the Party Committee of the School also organized freshmen to collectively watch the red film "The Founding of a Party".
